As the successor to the award-winning HV20, the HV30 retains many of the built-in benefits of the Canon HD Camera System - Canon HD Lens, Full HD CMOS sensor and DIGIC DV II processor - producing outstanding HDV1080i images

This new HV30 camcorder from Canon has a sleek black casing giving it instant stylish look.

It records HDV 1080i images directly to MiniDV tape allowing you to capture superb high quality (high definition) images.

With the HV20 as its predecessor, the HV30 has a fantastic base on which to build to create an even better camera.

The HV30 comes with a Canon HD lens and a 2.96 megapixel Full HD CMOS sensor. The Digic DV II processor captures realistic, colourful images that are full of detail even in adverse light conditions.

A built in HDMI connection allows direct hooking up to a larger screen so you can enjoy images in stunning widescreen high definition.

The HV30 also includes a video lamp and 0.2 lux sensitivity, making night-time filming possible.

A 10x optical zoom captures distant subject with ease, and without many of the artefacts associated with digital zoom.

In addition to a special photo mode for memory cards and useful built-in flash, the HV30 features Pictbridge connectivity for direct photo printing. This combined with a DV input and output, as well as a USB 2.0 port, gives a multitude of connection possibilities.

You can even create the look and feel of Hollywood films with different special effects, colours, faders and 13 AE exposure programmes.
